Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Resume Autopsy.

How does Resume Autopsy work?

You paste or upload your resume and our AI performs a forensic analysis, scoring it from 0 to 100 and identifying exactly what’s hurting your chances with recruiters.

Is my resume content stored?

Your raw resume text is not retained — it's analyzed in memory and discarded after your results are returned. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What does the score mean?

Scores below 40 indicate critical issues that may significantly hurt your chances with recruiters. 40–65 means present but generic. 66–90 is competitive. Above 90 is exceptional and rarely awarded.

Is Resume Autopsy really free?

The basic diagnosis — your score, cause of death, and key findings — is free with no signup required. The paid Resurrection Protocol unlocks the full treatment plan: specific fixes for each finding, leverage strategies for your strengths, and a complete resume rewrite.

What file formats are supported?

You can paste your resume as text or upload a PDF. We support resumes from all industries and career levels.

How is this different from other resume checkers?

Most resume checkers give generic advice. Resume Autopsy references specific content from your actual resume — the exact bullets, phrases, and patterns that are hurting you.
